Below, we present a selection of notable venues we have had the pleasure of visiting, each exemplifying the pinnacle of gourmet cuisine and beverages.


Fowberry Tower

Guests at Fowberry Tower can enjoy a variety of flexible catering options. We cater to all your needs - from hearty breakfasts to formal dinners in our magnificent dining room which seats 16 guests, all beautifully prepared by our Private Executive Chef. For those preferring self-catering, we recommend below some excellent local food outlets or we can arrange delivery of fresh ingredients directly to you. We also invite you to unwind in our Whisky Lounge, which features an extensive selection of whiskies from around Scotland.


The Percy Arms, Chatton 

The Percy Arms is a charming venue that beautifully combines rustic aesthetics with culinary excellence, located just six minutes by car from The Fowberry Estate. The menu is expertly crafted by their head chef, showcasing the finest local meats, game and poultry alongside delectable seafood sourced from the renowned Northumberland coast.

The Black Swan Inn, Seahouses (Gastropub) 

Seahouses’ oldest purpose-built pub is now an elegant and sophisticated gastropub specialising in seafood serving the finest dishes using the highest quality ingredients which are sourced from local fishermen and butchers.

The Potted Lobster, Bamburgh (Restaurant) 

The Potted Lobster Bamburgh offers a unique and relaxed dining experience with a menu packed with fresh, locally sourced seafood including local Lindisfarne Oysters and Shetland Mussels.

Swallowfish, Seahouses (Seafood Retailer) 

Swallowfish is based in The Fisherman’s Kitchen in Seahouses complete with the original smokehouses which have operated on this site since 1843. Some claim this is one of the possible places where the modern 'Kipper' was invented but now serves an incredible range of fresh fish, shellfish and smoked fish as well as their famous seafood platter and lobsters.

R. Carter and Son (Quality Butchers) 

Having been present in Bamburgh for over 125 years, R. Carter and Son sell meat and sausages, all of which are sourced from local farmers who supply their lamb, beef and pork. They produce a wide range of homemade pies and their award winning bacon is cured and smoked on the premises.

Turnbull's Northumbrian Food (Gourmet Supermarket) 

Established in 1880, Turnbull’s have become the must-visit home of Northumbrian Food with the creation of a flagship Food Hall on the edge of Alnwick, which opened in December 2019. The modern, state-of the art Food Hall encompasses a traditional butcher as well as an indulgent selection of seasonal vegetables, award-winning pies and salads, hot and cold food-to-go and much more. 

Introducing our Private Executive Chef

We are pleased to introduce Philip Elliott as our Executive Chef. With over 20 years of experience, Phil has served as an Executive Chef for the Royal Navy, catering to VIPs at the highest levels, and most recently held the position of Head Chef for the Royal Family at Balmoral. He now takes on the role of our private chef at Fowberry Tower.

In addition to his culinary duties, Phil will also oversee the development of our own label beverages. The inaugural product is Fowberry Tower Single Orchard Cider, made exclusively from 100% hand-picked, freshly pressed apples from our estate, including Kingston Black, Cox Orange Pippin and Dabinett varieties and crafted at Phil's own cidery, located at our neighbours, the Ford and Etal Estate.
